Who likes dogs? Come on now, put up your hand!

I’m seeing lots of hands out there!

I was 13 when I got my first dog…a West Highland Terrier named Fritz. He was given to us by a German family friend named Fred, who was moving and needed to find him a new home.Fritz was an interesting character who was OCD when it came to fetching a stick and also had a passion for running away. It didn’t take long to figure out why he needed a new home.

I’ve been around dogs pretty much ever since. Today we have 2 Border Collies named ‘Cuda and Diva. ‘Cuda is the gentle giant who is always in charge, and Diva is ready for her close up at a moment’s notice.

It was a pleasant surprise to find out when we moved to Vernon that it is the home of Darford, the dog cookie people. Our dogs were already addicted to them, and here they are being made right here!

When I became involved with Real Estate and needed an idea to promote my name, it was a natural fit. My idea: package up baggies of the dog treats such as the ones which you can read more on this site, place my business card sticker on them and hand them out free to dog owners. It’s amazing the response, and how many wonderful people I get to meet with a common interest.

I’ve now teamed up with 3 fabulous companies here in Vernon: 4 Elements Emporium, Skyride Cycle, and the Inner Light Yoga Studio. Stop on by and you can find a basket full of treat baggies at each of these fine places, so please take some home for your doggie.
