Start 2014 With a New View of Vernon

Yup, it’s year number four!

My wife, Teresa Deak, loves to explore this great little city of Vernon BC we live in, photographing all sorts of gems here that are often overlooked.

She’s got a way of taking pictures that kind of draws you in and invites you to stay awhile.

Which is kind of what Vernon is like, too.

If the beauty and fun you find here made you want to stay, I would totally understand that.

Once we arrived here, we knew we’d be in Vernon for good.

Photo of the view from 16 Street in East Hill looking towards Turtle Mountain in Vernon BC, taken by Teresa Deak for the January 2014 calendar photo. This year’s calendar starts with a view from 16th Street in the Sterling Estates neighbourhood of East Hill.

There’s a hidden park in this neighbourhood, and the pathway takes you between the homes where you can see Turtle Mountain across the valley.

Even dusted with snow, this valley is a beauty!

While the star of the calendar is this gorgeous North Okanagan valley, there are also a few fun dates, as well.

Watch out for Rubber Duckie Day on Monday, January 13. It’s sure to be a good time!

Next month we’ll take a look at what February offers. Enjoy!
